Road: Travelling to Hastings and St. Leonards by car is straightforward. The major road route is the A21 which is linked to the M25, providing a quick route around London. The fastest route into Hastings from the Channel Tunnel and Ferry Ports is via the M20 towards Ashford, then the A2070 via Brenzett towards Rye.

Train: Trains to Hastings depart from London via Victoria, Charing Cross and London Bridge mainline stations. Travel from Paris, Brussels or Lille by Eurostar via Ashford International Station (from Paris and Brussels approximately 2 hours to Ashford; 1 hour from Lille). Coach: National Express operate regular daily services from Victoria Coach Station. A number of independent coach companies offer a range of departure points and times throughout the London area.

Plane: London Gatwick services the south coast and handles direct flights from all over the world. Gatwick Airport is served by Southern Rail and The Gatwick Express on the London Victoria main line, offering a direct link with Hastings and St Leonards. Driving is approximately 50 miles by road from Gatwick. Charter services operate from Lydd Airport (21 miles).

Euro Tunnel: The Channel Tunnel connects the South East of England and Northern Europe (Folkestone to Calais). Figures in brackets refer to distances from Hastings.

Boat: Hastings is ideally situated if you are travelling via the Cross Channel Ferries: Dover (45 miles by road), Newhaven (31 miles by road).

House in Hastings is situated on Croft Road in the Old Town of Hastings. From the coast road, take the High Street and on the second left, you will find Croft Road. Go past the St Clement’s Church and follow the road. We are the middle house at the top of the road, as you turn to ascend the West Hill.
